How To Take The Stress Out Of The Wedding
by Chris Morton All the perfect wedding planning in the world does not mean that you won't be a little stressed on your wedding day. There is a lot to be done and it is one of the most special days of your life. Instead of getting overwhelmed by the activity, try to use some of these techniques to ease the stress you feel on your wedding day: |
|
Take a Deep Breath Deep breathing is one of the best ways to reduce your
stress. If you are just a little stressed then you can stop what you are
doing and take a deep breath. Close your eyes and let your body relax. Then
inhale deeply, letting the air flow into your stomach area. Hold your breath
for a second, then exhale slowly. You will feel the stress melting away.
This technique works well during the stressful wedding planning moments as
well as on the wedding day.
Stretch If you have been feeling a lot of stress during your wedding planning, you probably noticed that your muscles feel tense. If you have a little bit of time and some room, stretching is a great way to reduce the tension. Try doing some simple stretches or yoga poses to stretch those muscles and let the stress go.. Eat Right Throughout the planning of your wedding you should maintain a good diet. Bad food plus a lot of stress can wreak havoc with your body. Yet the food you eat on your wedding day is even more important. You are probably going to be drinking alcohol and dancing, so you need to remain hydrated and have a good meal. When you are standing up in front of everyone the stress can cause you to become lightheaded if you have not eaten. Try to avoid caffeine or high sugar foods. Take a Break When things get very stressful you just need to step away for a little while. Taking a walk or going into a quiet room to clear your head can be helpful. Try to do things that get your mind off planning your wedding. If you are feeling overwhelmed on the day of the wedding take a step away from the routine and stand outside for a moment to just enjoy the moment rather than get caught up the whirlwind.
